New work!

I have had the pleasure of working on an exciting new project these past few months–a mural and backsplash field tile for terrific clients who own a beautiful residence in west NJ. I delivered over 60 sq feet of tile this week and am eagerly awaiting the installation.

The inspiration was Arts & Crafts style so we chose hexagons, a popular shape in Grueby tiles back in the day. The tree in the 47 inch x 33 inch mural is modeled after a shag bark hickory and is surrounded in marbled blue stained glass mosaic. There will be accent tiles of hickory nut, hickory leaf and grapes/leaf.  There are gorgeous, custom cherry cabinets in a kitchen with lots of natural light.

I hope to have some better photos after installation sometime in the coming weeks.
